Happy Monday!

I want to thank everyone who has entered the contest and followed this blog! You are all making it so exciting for me!!

It's been a crazy weekend here. The hubs decided to trade in the gas guzzling Hemi for a jeep! Yay! This a super big deal for him (I always called it his first wife). Now, I know it's not a Prius or some other super gas saving hybrid. But, we did go from 13 MPG to 20. Every little bit helps right?

I also wanted to share a couple of places you can go to get some awesome green tips and share ideas. First, I found this great site last week. Daily Eco Tips.  They provide easy, economical green living tips daily. It's really an awesome site! I'm making lists :)
Second, I follow A Little Greener on Facebook. This is a great place for all of us to share tips and throw around ideas on greening our lives. It's like having our own little green support group. I love the quote on the page that states "We might not be an enviromentalist or do everything right, but one little bit at time we are trying to be greener!". Perfect! Thanks to Cynthia Korman for creating such a great page :)

Happy Monday everyone and I hope you all have a great week!

Giveaway Friday

A lot of people are weirded out by the idea of going green in their pants. I want everyone to know that it’s SO MUCH better than those disgusting disposables! Some of the benefits of cloth are :

-They lessen your contribution to the landfill
-They are more breathable and carry less odor
-They inhibit fungal and bacterial growth
-They are less likely to cause rashes / dermatitis
-They reduce PMS symptoms
-They are easy to clean and care for
-Each pad lasts 5 to 7 years

So why not give it a try? Here is your opportunity to have your own set of cloth panty liners. The winner of this giveaway will receive their choice of either a 10” or 7.5” set of 4 pantyliners compliments of Randumosity.

Welcome to Randumosity!!

Hi!
My name is Jami. I am a 30 something wife and step-mom to a 19 year old teenage daughter (she keeps life interesting). We live in Central Florida, right in the middle of all the tourist traps, with our 3 old dogs. It's hot and miserable here most of the year. But, I wouldn't change it for the world. We really are spoiled by our location. We can play at Disney, Universal Studios or Busch gardens anytime we want.

Our family has always tried to be "green" in small ways. We have always recycled and we tried to always use ENERGY STAR products. You know, the little things. Then one day I discovered Cloth Menstrual Pads. Once I researched them I found that the average woman tosses between 10,000 and 15,000 tampons, pads, and applicators in her lifetime! I thought, "OMG that is insane!" How can we be clogging our landfills with THAT MUCH discarded body funk?! It completely opened my eyes to so much more and I got a little obsessed. That's when I introduced my pads to Randumosity on Etsy. I had a shop there that I sold purses and accessories on. It's just my little way to help lessen the contribution to the landfills.

Now my husband and I are making conscious green lifestyle decisions (except for his car, I haven't convinced him yet) like using our own bags at the store, energy efficient bulbs, recycling & line drying our clothes. I'm also trying my hand at making our own soap and cleaning products!

Through this blog I hope to record my personal journey in finding more ways to green my life, share some awesome tips I have found along the way, give new product and sales updates for Randumosity and GIVEAWAYS! Yahoo! I'm so excited :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy it!
